The students reportedly protested against the management’s decision not to allow students who have not paid tuition fees to write exams.
The institution has been shut down indefinitely as a result of the protest from the students.
The students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, the Ondo state owned institution, have protested against the decision of the management of the school to prevent students who are yet to pay their schools fees from writing examinations.
The public relations officer of the polytechnic, Samuel Ojo, disclosed that the students destroyed several schools’ property and carted away with some during the protests.
The management, however, brought in some policemen to stop the protest and arrested some of the students that took part in destroying the school’s property.
